Paul pulls job applications from Kleinanzeigen straight into WhatsApp

We still remember Zukunft Personal 2024. Back then, our product was brand new – more beta than finished – and we were as nervous as on the first day of school. That’s where we first met Teamwork Instore Services. From the very beginning it clicked. They were curious, bold, and open to exploring new ways of working with us. And so, Teamwork became one of our very first customers to dive deep into agentic automation of recruiting processes with us.

Since then, a lot has happened. Together with Teamwork, we built a solution that takes applications from Kleinanzeigen.de and sends them straight to Paul in WhatsApp. No more email chaos, no more Excel sheets, no more manual copy-paste. Instead, candidates get an immediate message from Paul, upload their documents right in chat, and if something is missing, Paul asks. If the job doesn’t fit, Paul even suggests alternatives nearby.

The results are impressive: Hiring processes that used to take days now happen within minutes. Candidates can sometimes get a call within five minutes and already have an interview scheduled for the next day. Jacqueline Duden, Head of Recruiting at Teamwork, sums it up perfectly:

“In our industry, jobs are very comparable, so it’s all about who moves first. With Paul, we’re simply faster – and at the same time have more time for personal conversations.”

Why WhatsApp? Because it converts better than any other channel. Everyone uses it, everyone feels comfortable there. But without AI, WhatsApp is a nightmare for recruiters – every single message has to be answered manually. That’s exactly what Teamwork did before. Now, Paul takes care of the heavy lifting so recruiters can focus on what matters most: people.

And this is just the beginning. Our vision is to automate the entire process: from application intake via WhatsApp, through pre-screening, a short language check, and mini interview, all the way to contract creation. All in one flow. All with Paul.
